ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ionic Security Inc., a pioneer of high-assurance data protection and control, announced today that it has collaborated with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to deliver its hybrid high-assurance global data protection and control services via AWS Marketplace on the industry’s most secure infrastructure platform. The combination of Ionic’s technology with AWS’s infrastructure will enable customers to select from Ionic’s offerings, with encryption keys stored in AWS CloudHSMs or via on-premises hardware security module (HSM) appliances, or a combination of the two, based on their business need. Through this collaboration, the companies will deliver these advanced, hybrid services to regulated commercial and government clients around the world.
“Ionic’s goal is to make the world a safer place by ensuring all data can be secure, private and easily managed throughout the entire data lifecycle regardless of its location. Our collaboration with AWS will enable customers to achieve remote trust, even for the most sensitive of data,” stated Adam Ghetti, CEO and founder of Ionic Security. “The services we will offer in AWS Marketplace help ensure data is secure and private as it travels to, through and departs from the AWS global infrastructure. But the most exciting element will be our new ability to deliver these services at web scale with a breathtakingly easy provisioning and management experience – literally a push of a button – thanks to AWS.”
“Internet-scale, high-assurance data protection and control services are critical to the success of a cloud- and mobile-enabled ecosystem. However, they have traditionally been employed by more sophisticated companies and government agencies,” stated Stephen Schmidt, vice president, Security Engineering and chief information security officer, Amazon Web Services Inc. “The goal of our collaboration with Ionic is to deliver these services to any organization, at scale with provisioning, management ease and streamlined procurement via AWS Marketplace.”
High-Assurance Global Data Protection & Control Services Provisioned in Minutes
AWS offers the industry’s strongest infrastructure security controls, including private networks creation, instance access control, identity and access management, as well as authentication management. Ionic’s High-Assurance Global Data Protection and Control Platform enforces granular access controls on applications and data throughout its lifecycle.
“The collaboration between Ionic and AWS will open new avenues for customers to achieve quick time to value. Customers of our tenant enterprise and key management services will be able to go from weeks of setup in a traditional managed hosting environment to minutes via AWS Marketplace and 1-Click® deployment, even with a hybrid key management environment,” stated Ken Silva, vice president of Technology Operations and Infrastructure of Ionic Security.
Ionic tenant enterprise and key management service will be available to be provisioned in minutes via AWS Marketplace for existing Ionic customers in early June. Additional information about these services will be made available at the AWS Public Sector Summit 2016 to be held June 20-21 in Washington, D.C.
