3D Additivism Hell Yeah
Eyebeam fellow Morehshin Allahyari will unveil her newest project, the 3D Additivist Cookbook next Friday at Printed Matter bookstore in Chelsea.
The cookbook contains “3D files, critical texts, templates, recipes, (im)practical designs and methodologies for living in this most contradictory of times,” according to the event’s invitation. More than 100 artists contributed to the book, which was inspired by William Powell’s 1960s-era Anarchist Cookbook — a book that contained instructions for making explosive devices and homemade drugs.
The launch will include a panel discussion on publishing and activism that will go over the themes and works from the cookbook. It will feature Allahyari as well as Daniel Rourke, Paul Soulellis and Nora Khan.
