New York City-based Shine, a provider of daily motivational text messages, has raised $5 million in Series A funding, according to an announcement on the company’s website. Comcast Ventures led the round with participation from betaworks, Eniac Ventures, Female Founders Fund, Felix Capital, BBG Ventures and The New York Times.
