DLA Piper Advises Airbus Group On Appointment Of Google As Digital Workplace Provider

4/15/18

DLA Piper has advised Airbus S.A.S. on contractual matters arising from the appointment of Google as preferred service provider for its digital workplace.

This selection forms part of Airbus’ digital transformation of the company and its productivity tools. As a result of this selection, around 130 000 Airbus staff members will be migrated from Microsoft Office to Google’s G Suite tools.

During the request for proposal phase, DLA Piper advised Airbus on the review of the standard contract documents issued by all bidders, on the contract negotiations with these bidders, and on scoring their contractual positions.

During the negotiations, DLA Piper assisted Airbus in finalising and closing its contract with Google, and in drafting the associated risk analysis.

The team in Paris was led by the Global Co-Chair of DLA Piper's Intellectual Property and Technology Group, Stéphane Lemarchand, assisted by associate, Agnès Chavernoz and senior associate, Caroline Goupil.
