NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Arianna Huffington, founder and CEO of Thrive Global, the behavior change, media and technology company launched in November2016, today announced that the company is expanding to San Francisco and has hired Yardley Ip Pohl as Chief Product Officer.
At this time of accelerating growth for the company, Pohl and the Thrive Global engineering team, both at the company’s headquarters in New York and in its new San Francisco office, will focus on one of the company’s highest priorities: building out the technology that will bring Thrive’s behavior change products, media platform and science-based solutions to an even larger global audience around the world.
Thrive’s opening of its San Francisco office comes as tech companies including Apple and Google are introducing features to help people set boundaries with technology -- a key tenet of Thrive’s mission. Having a base in San Francisco will exponentially increase Thrive’s ability to have an impact at the epicenter of the tech world, and to attract top product and engineering talent.

As Chief Product Officer, Pohl will lead Thrive Global’s New York and San Francisco-based tech team,as well as recruit additionalproduct managers, engineers, and designers. Prior to joining Thrive, Pohl was General Manager at Zillow Group, where she ran operations and strategy for the Trulia rentals business. She is a co-founder and board member of Women in Product, a non-profit with over 9,000 members focused on building a strong community of women builders and leaders. With two decades of operational experience, Pohl began her career as a New Products Engineer at Apple before focusing on product management at companies including Trulia, eBay, Yahoo, and Dun & Bradstreet.
