Digital Accounting Institute (DAI), a South Jersey based firm providing digital accounting, payroll system consulting and training services designed for small businesses and non-profit organizations, presented 12-year old Marlton Middle School student, Tristan Street, with an award for his work in 3D design and animation. Tristan was tasked with bringing DAI’s company mascot, Digit, to life – developing a 3D animated character for use in various business applications. The presentation took place this morning during a 7th grade assembly at Marlton Middle School, in which his peers were introduced to Digit in a video production created by Tristan followed by a fun interactive financial literacy challenge for the entire audience.
The project began this past winter when DAI and the NOW! Financial Network (NOW) of Cherry Hill and Mount Laurel approached the South Jersey Innovation Center, a provider stimulating STEM and innovative child enrichment programs in Marlton, with the opportunity for students to use their love of video in a thriving business environment and tasked them the DAI Digit Animation Challenge. Tristan’s winning 3D Digit earned him an intern opportunity to evolve his design for varied practical applications, including PowerPoint training materials. As an SJIC rising star who enjoys the creativity of 3D design and animation, Tristan jumped at the chance over the holidays to submit his work.
