IBM's (IBM) cloud revenue has touched $17.7 billion for the last-twelve months period as per the latest quarterly report. This makes it a top 3 cloud provider with Amazon Web Services (AMZN) and Microsoft Azure (MSFT).
IBM's cloud revenues grew at the rate of 24% for 2017 and 35% for 2016. IBM's cloud revenues are contributing more 20% of its revenues. It has nearly 60 cloud data centers across 19 countries.
IBM has been awarded more than 1900 patents for its cloud technology in 2017 alone.
IBM is focused on Enterprise Cloud services. In this, it competes with all the major providers, such as Amazon, Microsoft, Google (GOOG), SAP (SAP), and Oracle (ORCL).
