NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--FOX News Channel (FNC) has signed Jacqui Heinrich as a general assignment reporter, announced Jay Wallace, President of FOX News. Beginning September 4, Heinrich will be based out of New York, reporting to bureau chief Kendall Gastelu.

In making the announcement, Wallace said, “As we continue to expand our newsgathering operations, we are pleased to welcome Jacqui whose breaking news experience will make a great addition to the FOX News team.”

Heinrich added, “I am thrilled to make the transition from the FOX Boston affiliate to FOX News Channel as a correspondent. Working at the national level has been a dream of mine and I am beyond humbled to continue my journalism career as a reporter for this network.”

Heinrich has been an anchor for Boston 25 News since 2016. She is a three-time Emmy-award winning reporter and was named the 2017 General Assignment Reporter of the Year for the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, Boston/New England chapter. Prior to joining Boston 25, Heinrich spent nearly three years as a reporter and weekend evening anchor for KTNV, the ABC affiliate in Las Vegas. Heinrich also anchored for the NBC affiliate in Colorado Springs, KOAA’s weekend morning edition of the Happening Now Desk.

She has covered national stories, including most recently the October 2017 deadly mass shooting in Las Vegas, where she exclusively revealed the first photos from inside the Mandalay Bay shooter’s hotel room. Additionally, Heinrich has covered a deadly trench collapse in the South End of Boston and the trial of Erich Nowsch, the gunman convicted of killing a local mother in a road rage altercation. She attended the George Washington University School of International Affairs and worked as an intern for the United States Congress, MSNBC, and WRC-TV, the local NBC affiliate.
