Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting Selected as a Finalist in the 2018 Americas Tax Awards

8/8/18

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting has been named a finalist for “Americas Tax Technology Firm of the Year” in the 2018 Americas Tax Awards by International Tax Review. The award recognizes a tax-technology service provider whose process or system has improved the efficiency of an in-house tax department. Final results will be announced at the 13th Annual Americas Tax Awards reception taking place in New York on September 13, 2018.

Wolters Kluwer is no stranger to the Americas Tax Awards, having previously won as “Americas Tax Technology Firm of the Year” in both 2016 and 2017 and “Americas Tax Innovator of the Year” in 2015. This year’s finalist nomination recognizes Wolters Kluwer for its comprehensive cloud-based tax software solution CCH Axcess™ and the role it played in helping to keep MiddletonRaines+Zapata, LLP running amidst the devastation of Hurricane Harvey.

“In August 2017, Hurricane Harvey dumped over 4 feet of water in Houston. I worried about my family, my team, my friends and even my home,” said Wesley Middleton, Managing Partner of MiddletonRaines+Zapata, LLP. However, there was one thing that he did not worry about during that crisis. “I never lost a minute’s sleep over our data or how soon our office could be up and running.”

With CCH Axcess, the MiddletonRaines+Zapata practice management, workflow, tax program and document management systems were in the cloud. As long as there was internet access, the firm had the ability to operate as usual.

“Customers are at the center of everything we do. During a natural disaster like Hurricane Harvey we are proud to be able to support our customer’s during their time of need,” said Jason Marx, CEO, Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting, North America. “With CCH Axcess, MiddletonRaines+Zapata was able to leverage on-demand technology for mobile delivery of the services they needed in real-time. We are honored to be recognized for this work as a finalist in the 2018 Americas Tax Awards.”

CCH Axcess is the tax and accounting profession’s first single-access, modular cloud-based tax solution that supports every area of firm operations for streamlined efficiency firm wide. A comprehensive cloud-based solution, the CCH Axcess Suite includes powerful modules to handle all tasks associated with tax preparation, compliance and workflow processes.
