Cassin & Cassin LLP Continues Growth Trajectory with New Hires

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cassin & Cassin LLP, a law firm specializing in real estate, real estate finance and trusts and estates, today announced the hiring of four attorneys to help keep pace with client growth. Kristin Cara, Cody Homan and Ted Trespasz have joined Cassin & Cassin’s New York City headquarters, while Katelyn Squicciarini is based in the firm’s Purchase, New York, office.

About the New Hires

Kristin Cara, who is based in the firm’s New York City office, joins the firm’s rapidly growing Affordable Housing and Agency Lending practices. She focuses her practice on multifamily financing and affordable housing, representing lenders in closing commercial real estate loans through the Fannie Mae Delegated Underwriting & Servicing and Freddie Mac Seller-Servicer programs. Prior to joining Cassin, Ms. Cara was an associate at Romer Debbas LLP. Admitted to practice in the State of New York, she received her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University.

Cody Homan, based in New York City, represents lenders in the financing of multifamily properties through Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, with an emphasis on affordable housing. He previously served as a legal intern at CBRE, the world’s largest commercial real estate services and investment firm, in London. Mr. Homan concurrently received his Juris Doctor from Boston College Law School and his Master of Business Administration from the Wallace E. Carroll School of Management. His admission to practice law in the State of New York is pending.

Katelyn Squicciarini is based in Purchase, New York, and focuses her practice on representing lenders in closing commercial real estate loans, with a concentration on the financing of multifamily properties through Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac programs. Previously, Ms. Squicciarini was an associate at Leopold & Associates PLLC. She received her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the Elizabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University, where she served as Acquisitions Editor of Pace Intellectual Property, Sports and Entertainment Law Forum. She is admitted to practice in the State of New York.

Ted Trespasz joins Cassin’s Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities practice in New York City. His practice is focused on representing institutional lenders in closing commercial real estate loans intended for securitization or other sale on the secondary market. Mr. Trespasz was previously an associate at Windels Marx Lane & Mittendorf LLP and received his Juris Doctor from St. John's University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York.
