The firm has been ranked #2 infrastructure legal adviser by transaction volume with an allocated value of £17.6 billion. The annual league table highlights the firm's role acting on behalf of the buyers on the £14.7 billion acquisition of Spanish toll road operator Abertis by an Atlantia-led consortium.
In terms of total number of renewable energy transactions closed during 2018, DLA Piper has been ranked #3, with 31 deals notched up during last year.

In the fourth quarter of 2018, the firm was again ranked #2 infrastructure legal adviser by transaction value, having advised on a total transaction volume of £15.1 billion. In the renewables sector, DLA Piper was ranked #3 by deal count, having closed 10 deals, including acting for Credit Suisse Energy Infrastructure Partners as the buyer in connection with the £444 million 475MW Nysäter onshore wind farm acquisition.
