Recently, DLA Piper attorneys Jim Brogan, Matt Goldberg, and Brian Boyle secured a major victory in defending their client Husqvarna Outdoor Products, Inc against Whitesell Corporation in a lawsuit that has lasted over a decade.

Whitesell Corporation, a major parts supplier, alleged Husqvarna violated a long-term supply agreement, claiming over $50 million in damages. But earlier last year, the partners discovered that Whitesell had been withholding key evidence when they deposed a Whitesell witness who revealed the company was in possession of information they had previously denied having.

As a result of their litigation efforts, the partners were able secure a significant victory, moving the judge to strike Whitesell’s demand in addition to awarding attorney’s fees and costs to the defendant after discovering the misconduct from Whitesell.
