DLA Piper today announces that Conor Houlihan has joined the firm's newly opened Dublin office. Conor will be leading the firm's Finance practice in Ireland.

Houlihan focuses his practice on a broad range of finance work including debt capital markets, securitization and structured finance, as well as a variety of cross-border financing work for borrowers and lenders (bank and non-bank) across real estate finance, acquisition and leveraged finance, distressed assets, fund finance and asset finance.

"Conor's work with many of the world's largest financial institutions, hedge funds and private equity funds will provide increased capabilities for our US clients who need assistance with their cross-border matters," said John Cusack, global co-chair and US chair of DLA Piper's Finance practice.

"As we continue to widen our ability to serve the growing needs of companies and stakeholders in complex restructuring matters within the EU and beyond, Conor's regular involvement will be another tool available for our clients in need of advising on the acquisition, financing and management of non-performing loans and other distressed investments in a number of jurisdictions," said Richard Chesley, global co-chair of DLA Piper's Restructuring practice.

Driven by a fast-growing economy, the Irish legal market is rapidly evolving and has entered a new phase of internationalization. As a truly global law firm with an office in Dublin, we are well-positioned as Ireland continues to attract some of the most exciting and innovative companies, particularly in the financial services, life sciences and technology sectors.

Houlihan joins from Irish law firm, Dillon Eustace, where he had been a partner since 2006 and also served as head of their Banking and Capital Markets team.
