DLA Piper is pleased to announce that Joseph Alexander, the Southeast US managing partner and global co-chair of the Corporate and Private Equity practices, has been named to the Daily Report 2019 list of Dealmakers of the Year. The award is part of the publication’s Georgia Legal Awards which recognize professional excellence, and this year was particularly competitive with a record number of nominations.
Alexander is one of only two attorneys to receive the Dealmaker of the Year award, and editors noted that his work has “contributed to the firm’s earning the top legal adviser ranking globally for overall M&A deal volume.”
Alexander focuses his international practice on representing private equity and corporate buyers and sellers in connection with M&A and general corporate matters. He also serves as outside general counsel to various public and private companies, including in connection with over 30 M&A transactions for aggregate consideration exceeding US$9 billion in the last five years.
