DLA Piper is pleased to announce that Larry Nishnick, a partner in the firm's Corporate practice, has been named to the San Diego Business Journal's inaugural "SD 50" list of 50 influential leaders making a difference during the COVID-19 pandemic and these otherwise unprecedented times.

The publication highlighted Nishnick’s work advising clients on government assistance programs such as the Paycheck Protection Program and Main Street Lending Program, counseling companies on the California and San Diego stay-at-home orders and advising businesses on steps to reopen their doors to workers and customers. Nishnick also advises several San Diego-based life sciences companies that are developing COVID-19 testing, therapeutics and vaccinations. In addition to these efforts, Nishnick has been active providing pro-bono assistance to a number of individuals, groups and nonprofit organizations.

In his practice, Nishnick advises both private emerging growth companies and established, public company clients in a broad range of industries, including technology, life sciences and healthcare, medical device, sports, media, entertainment, and consumer goods, food and retail. He also advises private equity, venture capitalists and angel investors in connection with their investments and financial institutions as underwriters or placement agents.
