International law firm McDermott Will & Emery represented Third Point Reinsurance Ltd. (NYSE: TPRE), a specialty property and casualty reinsurer headquartered in Bermuda, in its formation of, and investment in, Arcadian Risk Capital Ltd., a Bermuda-based insurance underwriter led by well-known industry veteran John Boylan.

- McDermott Will & Emery acted as legal advisor to Third Point Reinsurance Ltd.
- Arcadian has been established as Managing General Agent and has received its license from the Bermuda Monetary Authority to begin writing Excess Casualty and Professional business on behalf of Third Point Reinsurance beginning October 1, 2020 with plans to develop additional lines in the future.
- In addition to investing in Arcadian, Third Point Reinsurance will also provide insurance paper and capacity to the startup.
