Loeb & Loeb LLP is pleased to announce the arrival of Wanda French-Brown as a partner in the Patent Litigation & Counseling department. French-Brown, an accomplished litigator with a particular focus on the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries, represents clients in infringement matters before the federal courts, the U.S. International Trade Commission and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.

With a background that includes a decade of experience working as a registered pharmacist in the health care and pharmaceutical fields, French-Brown regularly advises branded pharmaceutical companies on complex litigation strategies resulting from the Hatch-Waxman and Biologics Price Competition and Innovation Acts, which governthe entry of generic and biosimilar pharmaceutical productsinto the market.She is a trusted advisor to pharmaceutical companies on the scope and coverage of patents, new drug product exclusivity, and other issues arising from compliance with the Hatch-Waxman Act, including Paragraph IV certifications.

In addition to her work in the pharmaceutical space, French-Brown has broad technological knowledge, regularly representing clients in a range of technologies, including wireless communication and mobile devices, LCD and LED, biotechnology, medical devices, and health care diagnostics.

Prior to joining Loeb & Loeb, French-Brown was a litigation partner in the Life Sciences department of McGuireWoods LLP. She earned a J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law and a B.S. from Rutgers University College of Pharmacy.
