6/14/16

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Electronic Recyclers International (ERI), the nation’s leading recycler of electronic waste, announced today that it has named Tammy Shegerian to its Board of Directors.

As ERI’s current Chief Operating Officer, Shegerian oversees and manages the day-to-day operations of each aspect of the organization, including sales oversight, and has played a key leadership role in the company’s rapid growth and ascension to its current position as the nation’s leading recycler of electronic waste and the world’s largest cybersecurity-focused hardware destruction company.

Shegerian is a co-founder of ERI and has served as its COO now for 10 years.

“Tammy has been here at ERI since the beginning and has a deep understanding of our business and industry,” said Kevin Dillon, ERI co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer. “Beyond that, though, is her remarkable business mind and natural leadership skills. She’s incredibly well respected here, and we are all honored and excited to have her sit on the board of directors of ERI where her guidance will be invaluable.”

With over 30 years of business management experience, Shegerian served as COO and Vice President of a privately held food manufacturer prior to assuming her role as COO at ERI. For more than a decade, she was instrumental in achieving dramatic revenue growth while increasing net income through development and management of the company’s continuous improvement program. During this period, the company grew to become the leading brand in its space.

“It’s an honor and privilege to be named to the board of ERI -- a company that’s been a labor of love for myself and my family for over a decade now,” said Shegerian. “It’s particularly gratifying to add an extra level of leadership commitment to an organization that is not only a leader in its field, but a game changer in the realms of sustainability, cyber security, and innovation for its industry. I’m excited by what the future holds for ERI and proud to be able to play a part in its continued growth and evolution.”

Shegerian earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from USC, where she graduated magna cum laude.
