Lee will continue to report to Randy Falco, president and chief executive officer of UCI.

In this position, Lee will be responsible for UCI’s News, Entertainment, and Digital content across platforms, as well as the Company’s Music efforts. He will continue to oversee FMG, which includes UCI’s interests in FUSION and El Rey as well as The Root, The Onion, A.V. Club, Clickhole, Flama, Univision Digital and Univision Music. Additionally, he is leading the search that is underway for UCI’s new president of Entertainment, a position that will report to Lee.

This multi-platform strategy allows the Company to strengthen and expand its content offerings and build on the 81 million average monthly unduplicated media consumers UCI reaches across its impressive portfolio of media brands, which includes two broadcast networks, 11 cable networks, 126 local television and radio stations and its array of digital brands, which continue to grow at a rapid pace.

“Univision continues to evolve and drive innovation and I am confident that in this new role Isaac will further align our content and platform teams to strategically drive growth and engagement,” said Falco. “The rapid pace of change in the industry requires us at Univision to continually disrupt the media landscape and I am confident that our leadership team will continue to focus on our mission, on serving our diverse audiences and on leading in the industry.”

Lee will continue to work closely with Televisa, and will continue to develop the newly launched Storyhouse, UCI’s development and production arm led by Camila Jimenez-Villa and Juan Rendon, which recently announced the co-production of a series with Netflix, “El Chapo,” based on the life story of one of the world’s most notorious criminals, and has also inked a content deal with HBO. Lee will also oversee UCI’s joint venture with Patricio Wills, W Studios.

“We have successfully transformed Univision into a multimedia industry leader and I look forward to working with our leadership team to further elevate our efforts and compete – and win – across platforms,” said Lee. “No one is better positioned than UCI to super-serve a diverse, rising America.”

Lee has been leading journalistic teams for nearly 20 years at prominent publications serving Spanish-speaking audiences in the U.S. and Latin America and is recognized for his innovation and commitment to excellence. He joined UCI in December 2010 as President of News, and most recently held the position of Chief News & Digital Officer where he spearheaded the Company’s digital expansion and the creation of the Fusion Media Group, with the acquisition of The Root and the strategic investments in FUSION and The Onion Inc.
