MAHWAH, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--HealthSTAR Communications, a leading independent healthcare marketing services company, announced today it has hired three new employees to meet the growing demands of its HealthSTAR Fusion Group, its new full service medical communications provider.
“We are thrilled that HealthSTAR Fusion Group, which was introduced to the industry just over a year ago, is growing so quickly with the addition of three new clients in oncology, dermatology and women’s health,” said Chris Sweeney, CEO of HealthSTAR Communications. “This validates our belief that the industry was ready for a company that offered strong strategic insights coupled with state-of-the-art technological solutions to ensure maximum impact from medical communications.”
The additions to the HealthSTAR Fusion Group staff reflect the company’s belief that all communication begins with significant scientific expertise and the ability to translate high science into a compelling story, coupled with executional excellence when it comes to customer service.
“In an effort to improve margins, our competitors are cutting staff, which significantly decreases the quality of work produced. However, our philosophy focuses on the client,” said Joe Tardibuono, Executive Vice President, HealthSTAR Fusion Group. “We want to be viewed as long-term partners with our clients, which means we must exceed expectations from the start. To do this, we believe we need to invest in the best possible talent – hiring the right people with the right skill sets provides us with the opportunity to deliver better results efficiently.”
The additions to medical affairs and account services teams include:
- Bindi Shah, MD has been hired as Senior Medical Director. A physician by training, Dr. Shah has over 15 years of experience in medical education and medical affairs, most recently as Medical Director at The Access Group. Her ability to identify the unmet educational needs of healthcare providers and to respond through the interpretation of clinical trial data is a key strength. She is also an expert in communications for the managed market audience—an increasingly critical area. Passionate in her commitment to improving healthcare through medical communications, Dr. Shah is known for her strong relationship-building skills.
- Sid DeSousa has joined the team as Vice President, Account Services. DeSousa, most recently with RevHealth, is a strategic, results-oriented professional with over 20 years of experience in healthcare marketing—including professional advertising, patient promotion, public relations and peer-to-peer education.
- Josh Klitenick has been hired as an Account Supervisor. Klitenick brings over 5 years of experience in medical communications, most recently at BGB New York, and has worked in many therapeutic categories with a strong focus in oncology. He is forward-thinking and thrives in the fast-paced, deadline-driven environment necessary to deliver excellence for our major US and global pharmaceutical accounts.
“I could not be happier to have such exceptional talent join our team,” said Tardibuono. “Bindi, Sid, and Josh not only bring the professionalism and expertise that reflects our company image, but they fit perfectly with our excellence-driven company culture.”
