Hopeworks, a Camden-based nonprofit focused on education, technology and entrepreneurship, announced Lakshmi Stockham will be joining the organization’s Board of Directors.

“Hopeworks is so excited to welcome Lakshmi to our board,” said Hopeworks Executive Director, Dan Rhoton. “Lakshmi’s energy, experience, and dedication will allow us to do even more to transform lives in Camden!”

Recently named one of the Most Powerful Women in FinTech by PROGRESS in Lending, Stockham currently serves as Senior Vice President of Retail Product Technology at TD Bank. In her role, she is involved with strategizing, curating, and delivering new technologies optimized to enhance consumer experiences with TD by strategically using data collection and supply chain management. Her focus remains helping people feel connected in an automated world.

Prior to working for TD, she held management positions in companies like Garnter and Capgemini focusing on strategy assessments. Additionally, Stockham has worked as an independent IT consultant, aiding people across many industries incorporate technology into their businesses to reach their company goals. She has an MBA in finance and strategy received from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago, and a bachelor's degree in IT from the University of Cincinnati.

Stockham’s extensive knowledge in finance and information technology makes her the perfect fit for Hopeworks as the nonprofit works with Camden youth to teach them coding, web development, GIS, professional development skills and more. Her guidance will help empower the youth and create a better Camden through technology and personal development.
