DXA studio, a New York based architecture and design firm known for a diverse range of projects primarily in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Metropolitan DC region, has announced four new hires as part of their growing team.
Janghee Lee is a newly appointed Junior Designer and in his role, he will focus on the relationships between architectural design and public space as well as architectural scale regeneration through design. In his experience, Lee has been involved in all phases of the design process from schematic design to construction management for a variety of projects from retail, single and multifamily residences in NY. He received his Bachelor of Architecture at the Namseoul University and Master of Architecture at the Rhode Island School of Design.
Alex Witteman joins DXA studio as a Junior Designer following a 2017 internship with DXA studio. He has also worked for Hord-Coplan-Macht out of Alexandria Virginia and KPF in New York City. Witteman received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Cincinnati, graduating Summa Cum Laude. The son of an architect, his passion for the built environment has always been palpable even from a young age.
Xiaoyi Gao has joined DXA studio as a Junior Designer. Before joining DXA, Gao worked at the BIG Copenhagen office as an Architectural Intern, on projects including Copenhagen Panda House and Noma Restaurant, and at Robert Siegel Architects in New York. Following her Bachelor of Architecture Degree from Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology in China, she continued to pursue her master’s degree of Design in Advanced Architecture Design (MSD, AAD) at University of Pennsylvania.
