Ann M. Kenyon
Ann M. Kenyon, a CPA and retired senior partner at Deloitte with more than 35 years of experience, has been named to Northern Westchester Hospital’s Board of Overseers.
“Ann Kenyon’s expertise in business, finance and accounting, risk valuation and other strategic issues strengthens the Board and its ability to make critical decisions during a time of unprecedented complexity for the economy and the health care landscape,” said Michael I. Schwartz, Chairman of NWH’s Board of Overseers. “We are delighted to have her on board.”
During her tenure at Deloitte, Kenyon was one of the company’s most experienced capital markets resources, specializing in securitization and the complex operational matters of servicing. At the height of the foreclosure crisis, she served as independent consultant for one of the top three money center banks, focused on examining the servicer’s historical default management practices in a landmark engagement for Deloitte. She led a team of over 20 partners, 1,000 professionals and established operations both domestically and globally, and actively interacted with senior members of company management, members of the bank’s Board of Directors, and the servicer’s multiple regulators. As part of this engagement, she testified before the U. S. Senate Subcommittee on Housing, Transportation and Community Development.
Kenyon also chaired Deloitte’s Independence Council, a committee composed of senior partners from each of the company’s four major businesses. She was charged with balancing the breath of Deloitte’s multi-disciplinary services while complying with the challenge of applying the Securities and Exchange Commission’s rules regarding the permissibility of services. Her work integrated new concepts within each practice; establishing regular channels of communication from each business to Deloitte’s National Office; and representing the company on a variety of industry task forces charged with examining the rules in a transformative effort to adapt to today’s business environment.
She also established Deloitte’s Securitization Advisory practice, specializing in accounting and implementation issues inherent in complex securitization transactions. Kenyon also advised clients in government, and on both the buy-side and sell-side of the capital markets, helping to identify, understand and resolve financial reporting, control, valuation, risk management and strategic issues.
Kenyon started her career in public accounting at Price Waterhouse, then moved into industry where she spent 15 years in increasingly progressive roles including controller, chief accounting officer and chief financial officer at public and privately held companies in the manufacturing and biotechnology sectors.
She has served on the Bowdoin College Board of Trustees for more than a decade, and currently chairs the Committee on Inclusion (she previously chaired the Committee on Admissions and Financial Aid). She also serves on the Executive and Audit, Risk and Reputation Committees, is a member of the Association of Governing Boards, and is affiliated with numerous professional and industry associations.
Kenyon received her AB degree in mathematics and economics from Bowdoin College. She is a resident of Chappaqua, NY.
