BlackRock Announces Closing of Municipal Closed-End Fund Merger

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BlackRock Advisors, LLC today announced that the merger of BlackRock New York Municipal Bond Trust (“BQH”, CUSIP: 09249P106) into BlackRock New York Municipal Opportunities Fund, an open-end mutual fund and a series of BlackRock Multi-State Municipal Series Trust, with MENKX being the surviving Fund, is effective as of the opening for business of the New York Stock Exchange on Monday, October 26, 2020.

In the Merger, common shareholders of BQH received an amount of MENKX Investor A shares equal to the aggregate net asset value of their holdings of BQH common shares as determined at the close of business on October 23, 2020.
