NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Carl Marks Advisors, a leading investment bank providing financial and operational advisory services to middle market companies, today announced that Peter Keogh has joined the firm as a Managing Director, and promoted four current employees. Carl Marks Advisors is continuing to build upon the momentum it saw in 2020, a year in which it added 9 professionals to its team.

Mr. Keogh brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in operations and finance to Carl Marks Advisors. He most recently served as Healthcare Practice Leader at Trident Consulting, a consulting firm focused on healthcare, energy and financial services. He was previously part of the senior consulting team within Accenture Strategy’s Healthcare strategy group, where he focused on clinical productivity and efficiency improvements in academic medical centers and hospitals. Earlier in his career, Mr. Keogh led turnaround and performance improvement-focused teams at several other global firms.

Carl Marks Advisors welcomed another new Managing Director, Howard Meitiner, in 2020. Mr. Meitiner has deep international retail, healthcare and restaurant experience, including launching Sephora USA as the CEO. As President and CEO of The Museum Company, a national 105-store specialty retail chain, he helped lead the turnaround and successfully navigate through a Chapter 11 filing and sale. He spent 19 years with DFS, (a $3B travel retail group based in the Pacific Region), as President of many regions and worldwide Head of Marketing and Non-Fashion Merchandising. During his career he has led crisis interventions, strategy redesigns, turnarounds and startups in many different countries.

Carl Marks Advisors also announced the following four promotions:

• Jon Roberts has been promoted to Director of Compliance for Carl Marks Securities
• Andrew Detrick, CFA, has been promoted to Vice President
• Charles Hill has been promoted to Associate
• Sasha Manford was promoted to CRM Development Manager
