NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ERI, the nation’s largest fully integrated IT and electronics asset disposition provider and cybersecurity-focused hardware destruction company, has announced that it has named leading cybersecurity expert Kate Fazzini to its Board of Directors.
Fazzini is an adjunctprofessor of cybersecurity at Georgetown University and has served as a cybersecurity reporter for The Wall Street Journal and CNBC, having previously held cybersecurity roles at JPMorgan Chase and Promontory Financial Group. "I'm honored to join the Board of such a critical organization in the technology ecosystem,” said Fazzini. “As one of the world's largest hardware recyclers, ERI is on the forefront of secure data destruction, a cybersecurity imperative and soon-to-be necessity for all large organizations. Controlling e-waste is an exciting area, especially in terms of its urgency for the environment, its importance for public safety and its potential for exponential growth. With cybersecurity and the prevention of hardware hacking being such an integral part of our business at ERI, I know we will benefit tremendously from Kate’s deep knowledge and experience as she steps into this advisory leadership role for us.”
"I'm humbled to be able to bring a strong cyber-risk sensibility to the board level,” added Fazzini. “I'm gratified that ERI has been so progressive in closely examining its cybersecurity posture and contributing greatly to the cybersecurity posture of its clients.
