BDO USA, LLP, one of the nation's leading accounting and consulting organizations, today announced that Demetrios Frangiskatos has been appointed New York office managing partner for commercial assurance. In this role, Mr. Frangiskatos will be responsible for overseeing the development of professionals, managing client and prospective client relationships as well as quality and regulatory matters. Former OMP Christopher Orella who led the NYC office for the past four years has been promoted to Northeast Regional Managing Partner for assurance services.

Mr. Frangiskatos has over 15 years of experience providing accounting, auditing and business advisory services across a wide range of industries focusing on media and technology. He is well-versed in mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, internal controls and reporting audits, and all aspects of SEC reporting. His background includes engagements both domestic and international, ranging from emerging-growth to Fortune 500 companies.

Mr. Frangiskatos is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Hellenic American Bankers Association, the Association for Corporate Growth, and he serves on the Executive Board of the St. John’s University’s Business Alumni Association. He earned a B.A. in Accounting from St. John’s University.
