Victory Bay co-founders, AJ Solomon and Brent Reese, are pleased to welcome Governor Chris Christie, local municipal and state officials, plus members of the medical, educational and professional community in celebrating the groundbreaking of its new facility, providing effective treatment to those suffering from addiction.

The challenge of recovery and need for improved care is something close to home for AJ Solomon, who suffered from addiction through college and as a young adult. Says Solomon, “Addiction is very personal and just as individuals’ stories are unique, so too are their needs in terms of recovery. By offering varied levels of treatment and commitment to providing a continuum of care, Victory Bay provides the best possible path towards success.” He goes on to acknowledge the support of his family, friends and previous employer, Governor Christie himself. “We cannot say enough about the Governor’s support of this project and the serious issue as a whole. His commitment is steadfast and genuine.”

In January, Governor Christie dedicated much of his State of the State to the disease of addiction, quoting the alarming statistics and impact on youth throughout the state and across the country. He outlined several key proposals to improve treatment options and Sober Living reform, including appropriate aftercare and extended treatment in safe, properly staffed living environments. Victory Bay Recovery Center will provide a continuum of care to those in need of treatment and is committed to staying connected to its clients to create a sober community of support.
