RFR Realty Signs Three Deals for 26,500 Square Feet at 17 State Street

RFR Realty LLC announced today a new full-floor 14,500-square-foot lease with EnTech Engineering, P.C. as well as renewals for 7,234 square feet and 4,752 square feet respectively with StoneTurn Group and Herbert Jamison at 17 State Street, a 42-story, 570,696-square-foot office tower that is a defining part of Downtown Manhattan’s skyline.

EnTech Engineering, a consulting company specializing in construction, engineering, environmental inspection, safety and health, is relocating from 11 Broadway and taking a tower floor at 17 State Street. The firm’s projects include key infrastructure work in the New York area. Examples include work on the new 2nd Avenue subway, FDR East River Drive, the Randall’s Island Water Main Extension that is planned to take place underneath the Harlem River and work on the Bayonne Bridge which links New Jersey to Staten Island.

Meanwhile, global forensic accounting and business litigation firmStoneTurn Group has reupped its lease and business and commercial insurance provider Herbert Jamison, which has been a tenant at the building for almost 25 years, also renewed its lease.

These transactions come on the heels of a 140,000-square-foot lease renewal and expansion with IPsoft, Inc., a technology company that has developed an artificial intelligence called Amelia,which is a competitor to IBM’s Watson and Apple’s Siri.

Mr. Camhi represented RFR in-house, along with Mitch Konsker and a teamfrom JLL that includes John Wheeler and Clayton Kline. Jonathan B. Fein of Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant.

17 State Street, designed by Emery Roth and Sons, is situated on the corner of State and Pearl streets, offering outstanding access to transportation, restaurants, shopping and culture. The historic property, distinguished by its curved glass façade, also boasts stunning views of New York Harbor, the Statue of Liberty and Battery Park and is close to multiple subway lines, ferries to Staten Island and New Jersey, the New York Water Taxi and the Downtown Heliport.
