Cushman & Wakefield announced today that the real estate services firm has arranged a 16-year, 30,282-square-foot lease for Volunteers of America, Greater New York Chapter, at 135 West 50th Street.
A Cushman & Wakefield brokerage team comprised of Executive Managing Director David Lebenstein and Director Debra Wollens represented the tenant in this transaction. The landlord was represented by Vice Chairman David L. Hoffman, Jr., Senior Managing Director Craig Evans, Directors Whitnee Williams and Christine Colley and Senior Associate Conor Kenny, all with Cushman & Wakefield.
“Later this year, Volunteers of America will relocate its headquarters in order to establish a more efficient and collaborative workspace for its employees,” said Mr. Lebenstein. “This is a great opportunity for the organization to grow in a Class A, beautifully maintained property located in a central part of midtown.”

The 861,000 square-foot, 23-story building features 61,000 SF base floors, a 24-hour attended lobby, an onsite parking garage, an extremely creditworthy institutional landlord, outstanding retail support and excellent proximity to mass transit, world renowned restaurants, world-class shopping, premiere hotels and Rockefeller Center. Retail tenants Include Bobby Van’s Steakhouse, Bocca, Little Beet, Pret A Manger, Meltshop, Cafe Duke and Men’s Wearhouse.
