The William Vale today announces that Suitsupply, a men’s fashion brand, signed a 10-year, 4,454-square-foot lease in the retail space at Williamsburg, Brooklyn’s newest destination.
Originally founded in 2000 by Fokke de Jong in Amsterdam, Suitsupply is a market defining brand showing strong international growth with over 86 locations. The company has a strong presence in retail and owns stores in Western Europe, USA, Canada and China.
“Suit Supply in Williamsburg is exciting because it not only diversifies the shopping experience for the neighborhood in general, but shows that North Williamsburg is positioned to be a premium retail corridor as projects like 25 Kent and Bushwick Inlet Park come online over the next few years,” said Mario Faggiano, co-founder of EXR, the exclusive brokerage firm representing the leasing and marketing of the retail and community use space available at The William Vale. “Before this property on 55 Wythe, many prominent brands were focused on the Bedford / North 6th corridor. The equation has now changed as we continue to field market making offers from great brands at the property.”
Suitsupply joins All-Wise Meadery and Du’s Donuts and Coffee, a concept by Wylie Dufresne which recently opened. There is currently 25,764 square feet of remaining retail space for lease. In total, the 38,000-square-foot retail space located at The William Vale consists of two floors:
The ground level space with 18,000 square feet of retail space with ceiling heights ranging from 17.5 to 20.5 feet.
The lower level with 20,000 square feet of sub-level space with ceiling heights ranging from 13 to 16 feet.
As North Williamsburg expects over 600 hotel rooms available within the next year, the area is also slated to add an estimated 5,000 new residential units within the next few years, and over 500,000 square feet of office space. The William Vale is 10 minutes from Manhattan by taxi, a six minute walk to the East River Ferry, a seven minute walk to the Bedford L subway stop, a nine minute walk to the Nassau G subway stop, a 15 minute walk from the Marcy JMZ subway stop, and 15 minutes from LaGuardia Airport by taxi, or 25 minutes from JFK Airport by taxi. The William Vale has dedicated valet parking occupying two floors of the building. Street parking is also available in the neighborhood.
