Fisher Brothers Puts Spin On Charity Fundraiser With Skeeball Tournament At 299 Park Avenue

7/5/17

Fisher Brothers held its first ever charity skeeball tournament at 299 Park Avenue, one of the firm’s signature Manhattan office towers. More than 750 tenants participated in the event on June 22, with Fisher Brothers donating to the charity of choice for the top three scorers.

Fisher Brothers invited all tenants of 299 Park Avenue to participate in the tournament by playing a round of skeeball in the lobby. After a day of fierce competition, Fisher Brothers announced the winners and donated to the charity of their choosing. First place winner Mitchell Rubenstein of Capital One selected ALS-TDI to receive the top donation of $2,500. In second place, Ari Pappas of MarketAxess chose Sister Soldier Stand Up for Each Other to be given the $1,500 donation, and Elizabeth Brand of MarketAxess selected Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation to receive the third place $1,000 donation from Fisher Brothers.

“The skeeball tournament was a great way to bring excitement to the workday, while building on Fisher Brothers’ rich tradition of philanthropy,” said Fisher Brothers Partner Winston Fisher. “The event was one of the many ways we are working to enrich the experience of our tenants.”

Designed by Emery Roth & Sons and built by Fisher Brothers, 299 Park Avenue is a 42-story, 1.2 million square foot office tower which opened in 1967. The building is currently 90 percent leased by a range of world-class companies, including Capital One and UBS. Occupying the full block front between 48th and 49th Streets, 299 Park is situated along one of the world’s most iconic boulevards and counts such prestigious neighbors as the Waldorf-Astoria and Grand Central Terminal. Originally built over primary tracks serving the New Haven Railroad, it was considered a marvel of modern engineering at the time of its construction. The long-time corporate headquarters for the Fisher Brothers organization, 299 Park Avenue is widely regarded as one of the top Class A office buildings in New York City.
