Guy Leibler, president of Simone Healthcare Development, will be a featured speaker at a special panel discussion on development in the Bronx hosted by the Urban Land Institute’s New York Chapter on Tuesday, July 11^th from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Bronx Museum of the Arts at 1040 Grand Concourse.

The panel, created to analyze the influx of investment and development in the Bronx as well as its driving factors, is titled “Borough Development Series: A Building Boom in the Bronx.”

In recent years, the Bronx has seen an impressive influx of development and investment, with a 37 percent increase in investment in the borough from 2015 to 2016 alone. In 2016, investment in the Bronx totaled more than $3.27 billion over more than 14.2 million square feet of residential and commercial development. While much of this growth is anchored in residential development, other market sectors such as healthcare are now emerging in the borough’s transformation.

Mr. Leibler will share his expert insight regarding the causes for the surge in Bronx development andwhat the future holds in store for the borough. Mr. Leibler’s extensive experience in both real estate and healthcare developmentwill bring a unique perspective to the panel, as he is equipped to specifically address the reasons for increasing healthcare development and the benefits of further expanding the sector in the Bronx and throughout the tri-state area.
