GFP Real Estate Announces 10-Year Lease Extension For Omnicom Group At 200 Varick Street

Omnicom Group Extends Its Substantial Seven Floor, 200,000 Square Feet of Space at Hudson Square Office Building For Another Decade

GFP Real Estate, a vertically integrated owner, operator, property manager and developer of commercial real estate,today announced that Omnicom Group has extended its lease at 200 Varick Street for 10 years. OmnicomGroup occupies approximately half of the 410,000-square-foot, 12-story building located in the Hudson Square neighborhood.

The announcement was made by co-CEOs Eric Gural and Brian Steinwurtzel of GFP Real Estate. Formerly known as Newmark Holdings, GFP Real Estate is one of New York City’s largest private owners and managers of commercial real estate. Jeffrey Gural, Eric Gural and Donna Vogel represented GFP Real Estate in the transaction and Lee Feld of Feld Real Estate LLC represented the tenant.

“We’re excited that Omnicom Group will call 200 Varick Street home for many more years,” said Jeffery Gural. “Maintaining our existing tenant roster is important to us and we’re pleased that the building’s amenities and location within the vibrant Hudson Square neighborhood in lower Manhattan remains an attractive draw for a world-renowned company such as Omnicom.”

200 Varick Street was constructed in 1926 and has seen Hudson Square transition from a printing district to a hotbed of creative office tenants within the media, advertising, arts, legal and tech industries. Additional prominent tenants at the building include the Film Forum.
