Architect Murat Tabanlioglu Speaks on “Art Meets Architecture a 21st Century Experience” at Art Design Miami
Internationally renowned architect Murat Tabanlioglu captured the rapt attention of an audience of over 100 family office attendees at the Design Miami tent VIP room, held last week during Art Basel Miami 2017, with a presentation of the design for new Istanbul Ataturk Cultural Center.
Mr. Tabanlioglu has just been tapped to design Istanbul’s new cultural Icon for the 21st Century, which will include a 2,500 seat new opera house.
The new Ataturk Cultural Center will be the focal point of the rich cultural heritage of Turkey and its historic past. Tabanlioglu Associates, founded by Murat Tabanlioglu has also played a pivotal role in the art and architecture of Turkey over many decades with previous work that has included the acclaimed Istanbul Modern, the first museum of modern art in Turkey. In fact the design of the first Ataturk Cultural Center, which opened in 1970, is traced back to Hayati Tabanlioglu, father of Murat Tabanlioglu.
The event was attended by guests of REDinNYC, the premiere New York City real estate networking event. Other speakers at the morning talk included famed architects and designers Kobi Karp and Andrew Sheinman.
