Preeminent Workplace Architecture Firm Grows NYC Presence
Leading interior architecture and design firm OTJ Architects has expanded its New York footprint and team and relocated to stunning 28th floor offices at 1407 Broadway, between 38th and 39th Streets. Surrounded by two walls of windows overlooking the World Trade Center, Empire State Building, the Hudson River and Jersey City skyline, the new office features high ceilings, concrete floors and an open-plan layout. “Our New York studio has grown very quickly with projects for clients new and old, such as Brookfield Properties and Cultural Vistas in the Woolworth Building,” points out OTJ’s Arch Tembulkar, LEED AP, the senior project manager in New York. “It has been a wonderful whirlwind, and we were very fortunate to have found our beautifully built-out space through CBC Advisors.”
Adds Lance Jaccard, OTJ Managing Partner, “The initial impetus for opening the studio was to provide services to existing clients with New York offices. But with so much activity here, the number of projects for which we have been approached has escalated faster than we could have anticipated.”
Among the New York studio’s design projects have been the new offices of international non-profit FHI 360, Vitals.com and Pay-Pal, and pre-built suites in various Manhattan office buildings. In addition, OTJ is currently working on building repositioning projects at 708 Third Avenue and Newport Towers in Jersey City.
