Calls for Agreement on Such Issues as the Economy, Immigration, and Vocational Education
Joseph Sitt, CEO of leading global real estate company Thor Equities and Chairman of infrastructure advocacy group Global Gateway Alliance, spoke on Fox Business’ Varney & Co. today about the need for bipartisanship now in the United States:
“We are in a ‘Goldilocks moment’ economically in our country. I don’t think we’ve had a Main Street economy boom in decades like we’re seeing today in markets such as Houston, Denver, Minneapolis, Salt Lake City…the heartland is waking up.
“I’m looking for both sides to come together. Some may have caused issues in the past, but now Trump’s got the A-team: Gary Cohn on the economy, General Kelly, General Mattis, Jared Kushner…some of the most talented people that anybody could have wanted.”
Regarding immigration: “Trump’s proposed system of utilizing the immigration policy to bring in the best and brightest who can help the United States grow is a value add, and they need to find that middle ground.
“We also need government sponsored vocational education to reeducate workers, and take them from jobs they can’t get to ones that we’re starving to be able to pay people to do.”
