MetaProp NYC, the world’s premier real estate technology nexus, held its third annual New York City Demo Day at Blackstone’s Manhattan office on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018. Seven startups from the 2017-18 class of the MetaProp Accelerator @ Columbia University program pitched to an overflow crowd of leading PropTech investors, entrepreneurs and forward-thinking corporate real estate executives. Tyler Henritze, Blackstone’s Senior Managing Director in the Real Estate Group and the Head of Real Estate US Acquisitions, delivered the keynote.
“Demo Day in New York is the latest example of how this city has become the global epicenter of PropTech, as this year’s cohort of founders came here from as far as India, Italy, Singapore and Spain to participate in our accelerator,” said Aaron Block, Co-Founder and Managing Director, MetaProp NYC. “Even more exciting is the ever-growing convergence of the entire real estate value chain with the game-changing innovations provided by PropTech entrepreneurs such as those in our cohort. We look forward to bringing more of these tech-forward innovators to the worldwide real estate community.”
The day kicked off with a first-of-its kind Open House for the general public and broader PropTech community. MetaProp portfolio company, Spacious, hosted the event in the company’s headquarters on 53rd Street across from MOMA.

In addition to the media and venture community, our startups mingled with top executives from Blackstone, which graciously hosted NYC Demo Day, as well as with Ackman Ziff, CBRE, Cushman & Wakefield, Kimco, KPMG, Millennium Partners, Partnership for NYC, REBNY, Related, Savills Studley, Toll Brothers, Warburg Realtyand many more.
In the evening, our startups revealed their progress to the world during the third annual NYC Demo Day. Some pre-presentation highlights:
