-- Named No. 1 “Best Burger Joint” by Zagat, the restaurant is opening its first Brooklyn location at 234 Flatbush Avenue in Park Slope--

Black Iron Burger, named Zagat’s No. 1 “Best Burger Joint” for the last three years, will be opening its first Brooklyn location at 234 Flatbush Avenue in Park Slope two blocks from the Barclays Center after signing a lease arranged by Eastern Consolidated.

Senior Director Joe Robinson negotiated the 15-year, 1,250-square-foot lease on behalf of Michael Pintchik of Pintchik Properties and Black Iron Burger. A little over a year ago, Robinson arranged a lease for Snowdays at another Pintchik property a block away at 214 Flatbush Avenue.

“The sun, the stars, and the moon aligned for this deal,” Robinson said. “When Michael called to tell me he had space available at 234 Flatbush Avenue, I immediately contacted the owners of Black Iron Burger because I knew they were looking for a location in Brooklyn. They made an offer the same day they saw the space, before it could even hit the market.”

Black Iron Burger, which was awarded TripAdvisor’s “Certificate of Excellence” for three consecutive years, features chefs from Spain who serve classic American Burgers made with all-natural, lifetime antibiotic, steroid- and hormone-free meats and foods inspired by the Mediterranean.

Robinson added, “With its focus on high quality and fresh ingredients, Black Iron Burger will be a hit in this health-conscious area of Brooklyn as well as attract patrons attending events at the Barclays Center.”

One year after it opened, the Barclays Center was ranked first in the number of concert tickets sold in the U.S. with revenue averaging $521,000 per concert and family show. Also, the arena is home to the New York Islanders and Brooklyn Nets, which averages 17,000 fans per game.

The Barclays Center anchors the 22-acre Pacific Park Brooklyn, which is slated to include 14 residential buildings with 6,430 apartments. Currently six buildings are available, planned, or under construction–a condominium at 550 Vanderbilt, and rental buildings at 461 Dean Street, 535 Carlton Street, 38 Sixth Avenue, 664 Pacific, and 615 Dean Street.

The Flatbush Avenue space also is ideally located near a major transportation hub at the Atlantic Avenue/Barclays Center station where nearly 14 million riders board the B, D, N, Q, R, 2, 3, 4, and 5 trains annually.

Black Iron Burger opened in the East Village in 2008 and has two Manhattan locations, 540 East 5th Street in the East Village and 245 West 38th Street in Midtown West. More information is available at https://www.blackironburger.com/
