Newmark Knight Frank (NKF) is pleased to announce that it has hired Jim Brown as senior managing director of its Global Corporate Services (GCS) practice. As part of a GCS initiative, Mr. Brown will play an integral role in developing and implementing plans to strategically grow the program and project management business. Mr. Brown’s focus will be defining product and commercial offerings, developing client solutions, account management and ensuring client satisfaction. He will also work closely with other GCS service line leaders, including facility management, transaction management, technology, consulting and lease administration, to assure integrated solutions are developed for optimal client results.

“Recruiting talent like Jim Brown to our overall GCS and Project Management platform is a great move by NKF. Mr. Brown is highly respected with substantial experience in the field; adding him to our roster shows the continued investment NKF has committed to growing our services across the globe,” said Thomas Hundelt, NKF executive managing director of Program and Project Management.

Mr. Brown has over 30 years of experience in commercial and corporate real estate services with a core emphasis in project management. Most notably, his achievements include managing the merger of the project management operations following CBRE’s acquisition of Trammell Crow Company, which oversaw a staff of over 1,000 project managers. Mr. Brown also led a global re-organization and new marketing plan for Johnson Controls International’s Global Workplace Solutions project management service offering, consisting of over 600 project managers across the globe.

“We’re excited about the leadership and track record that Jim brings to our platform,” said Craig Robinson, NKF chief executive officer of Global Corporate Services. “His addition to our GCS leadership team speaks to not only our growth in global program and project management services, but our commitment to doing so with leading technology, tools and talent,” said Robinson.

“Throughout my career, relationship-building has been a significant focus,” Brown stated. “I am looking forward to using this experience to grow NKF’s client base and work towards strategically enhancing the global platform.”

Over his career, Jim has led project management accounts and organizations that have managed more than $10 billion in project value. Most recently, Mr. Brown led Savills Studley’s Occupier Services projects business while also serving IQVIA as its Global Project Management Office leader. Prior to this role, Mr. Brown has held various high-level positions at multiple service and building automation companies in both California and New York.
