4/18/18

DLA Piper is pleased to announce that Mark Fowler, global co-chair and US chair of DLA Piper's Patent Litigation practice, has been selected as a Top Intellectual Property Lawyer by the Daily Journal. The award recognizes attorneys who successfully argued a novel theory of law, saved a client's business by winning a case or protected a client's portfolio.

Among other accomplishments, the Daily Journal noted Fowler's ability to "take complex issues and explain them to the court and ultimately to a jury" and his successful defense of Toshiba Corp. against patent infringement claims last year.

Fowler's practice focuses on patent infringement litigation. He has experience in handling trials, binding arbitrations, trial preparation and counseling (including litigation avoidance). His patent infringement litigation experience includes cases before the International Trade Commission and the Federal Circuit, as well as District Courts in California, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin, Delaware, Washington, Utah, Florida, Illinois and Ohio. Fowler's experience also encompasses years of working on trade secret and other complex business litigation.
