DLA Piper announced today that Matthew Gruenberg has joined the firm's Franchise and Distribution practice as a partner in Los Angeles.
Gruenberg focuses his practice on a range of transactional and regulatory matters, including M&A, private equity and real estate transactions. His franchise clients range from startups to mature public companies in various industries including entertainment, financial services, food services, healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, real estate, restaurant, sports, technology and textiles.
"Matt brings a vast range of experience in franchise law that spans numerous industry sectors," said Rich Greenstein, chair of DLA Piper's Franchise and Distribution practice. "With his broad experience in corporate and real estate matters, Matt is also well-equipped to advise clients on any number of issues that may arise during complicated franchise transactions."

Gruenberg joins DLA Piper from Barnes & Thornburg LLP, where he served as chair of the Franchise & Distribution Law practice. He earned his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law and his B.S. from the University of Colorado.
