DLA Piper has been awarded a Bronze ranking in the 2018 Australian Workplace Equality Index run by Pride in Diversity, in recognition of the firm’s LGBTI inclusion activity over the previous year.

In October 2017, DLA Piper officially launched its global Iris (LGBTI) Network in Australia with a client and staff event in Sydney, joined signatories in support of Marriage Equality, updated firm guidelines to include a gender identity equality policy, and participated in Wear it Purple awareness day, among other positive initiatives.
