Heath focuses his practice on complex civil and commercial litigation, including toxic tort and product liability defense, Proposition 65 defense and counseling, consumer class action defense, wage and hour class action defense and various other litigation matters.

"Levi's wide-ranging litigation practice is an excellent fit for DLA Piper, where he will be able to take advantage of our broad geographic and practice area platform for the benefit of his clients," said James Brogan, co-chair of the firm's US Litigation practice. "We are happy to welcome him to the firm."

"Levi will boost our existing Litigation capabilities in Los Angeles, and his experience and skillset will be valuable as we continue to strategically expand on the West Coast," said Stuart Liner, co-managing partner of DLA Piper's Los Angeles offices. "In particular, his practice will support our efforts to enhance our consumer products and services offerings in California and beyond."

Since merging with Los Angeles-based Liner LLP in October, DLA Piper has continued to expand its presence in the region, most recently with the addition of Matthew Gruenberg, a partner in the Franchise and Distribution practice; Jeff Tsai, a partner in the Litigation, White Collar and Investigations practices; Tamany Bentz and Benjamin Mulcahy, partners in the Intellectual Property practice; Michael Garfinkel and Miles Cooley, partners in the Media, Sport and Entertainment practice; and Joel Athey, a partner in the Litigation practice.

Heath, who joined DLA Piper from Barnes & Thornburg LLP, earned his J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles, School of Law and his B.S. from the University of Utah.
