Cauldwell Wingate Announces Hiring Of New VP Of Purchasing And Estimating, Jim Morel

Cauldwell Wingate is pleased to announce the recent hiring of Jim Morel as vice president,purchasing and estimating. Morel brings over 30 years of experience in the construction industry to Cauldwell Wingate.

Ensuring Timeliness and Quality

In his new role, Mr. Morel will oversee all purchasing and estimating processes for Cauldwell Wingate projects with the goal of eliminating client’s risk and exposure, assessing the lowest possible cost without sacrificing quality, scheduling or project coordination. He is responsible for pre-qualifying all trade subcontractors to ensure conformance and compliance with contract requirements, closely monitoring the budget and cost controls as well as assigning and scheduling estimating personnel.

Prior to joining Cauldwell Wingate, Morel held positions as an estimator, senior estimator, director of estimating, director of purchasing and director of cost control.His depth of experience encompasses projects from initial concept to completion as seen through his high-profile projects including SONY Music, The Pierre, A Taj Hotel, Columbia University, NBC Universal, Ernst & Young, BRC Homeless Center and hundreds more.

Morel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) and has completed several NYIT certificate programs including the Principles of Project Management certification. His architectural education has been integral in fully understanding the complete scope necessary to oversee diverse projects.
