Cushman & Wakefield Arranges Long-Term Lease for Community Access, Inc. at 17 Battery South

Cushman & Wakefield announced today that the real estate services firm has arranged a 15-year, 25,075-square-foot lease for Community Access, Inc., a pioneer of supportive housing and social services, at 17 Battery South. Community Access will occupy a portion of the building’s 13th floor.

A Cushman & Wakefield team consisting of Executive Managing Director and Co-Chair of Cushman’s National Not-For-Profit Advisory Group Carri Lyon and Vice Chairman Mark Mandell represented the tenant in the transaction.

Community Access will be relocating from 17 Battery North to 17 Battery South and using the 25,075-square-foot space for its headquarters and offices. The landlord, Battery Commercial Associates LLC,is paying to build the space out to Community Access’s specifications and has created a new highly efficient design. 17 Battery South offers high ceilings, superior electrical capacity and high-speed telecommunications capability.

There is a gourmet market and Duane Reade situated at the building’s street level, providing convenient shopping and dining options. The property is easily accessible by the 1, 4, 5, N and R subway lines, in addition to the multiple bus lines.
