Kelley Drye & Warren Announces New Special Counsel

Kelley Drye & Warren LLP has promoted Amba M. Datta, Brooke M. Ringel and Sojin Yoon to special counsel, effective July 1, 2018.

The new special counsel, and their practice groups, are:

Amba Datta, Government Contracts

Amba represents clients in government contracts-related matters, including bid protests, contract disputes, civil litigation, government investigations and small business program issues. She frequently represents government contractors in bid protests before the U.S. Court of Federal Claims and the U.S. Government Accountability Office. Amba also counsels clients on compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation and the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual with the Defense Security Service. She is a member of the District of Columbia and New York State Bar.

Brooke Ringel, International Trade

Brooke assists companies, associations and coalitions across a wide range of industries in navigating, effectively utilizing and leveraging U.S. trade laws and policies. She represents domestic industry in international trade remedies litigation against unfairly priced and subsidized foreign imports, particularly with respect to investigations and five-year sunset reviews before the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) and countervailing duty investigations before the U.S. Department of Commerce. Previously, Brooke served as associate vice president at the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), where she led the association's work on global intellectual property advocacy and supported trade policy issues. Brooke is a member of the District of Columbiaand Virginia State Bar.

Sojin Yoon, Litigation

Sojin is a trial lawyer who counsels companies that are facing significant business disputes. Her commercial litigation experience includes licensing, data security, trade secret theft, contract, telecommunications and False Claims Act, with a particular focus in the information technology sector. A native of Korea, Sojin is also fluent in Korean, and she advises Korean companies doing business state-side. She is a member of the New York State Bar.

Matthew J. Basile, Jeffrey J. Hunter, and Carol W. Sherman were newly elected partner.
