Flat Rock Global, LLC, an alternative credit asset manager focused on yield-driven investment strategies, is pleased to announce the launch of its second fund: Flat Rock Opportunity Fund. The Flat Rock Opportunity Fund, ticker FROPX, will focus on investing in pools of senior secured loans through the equity of collateralized loan obligations. The Chief Investment Officer of The Fund, Shiloh Bates, is a veteran of the CLO industry, having invested in approximately $1 billion in CLO securities.

About Flat Rock Opportunity Fund:

Flat Rock Opportunity Fund, invests primarily in the equity and, to a lesser extent, in the junior debt tranches of CLOs. CLOs provide exposure to senior secured loans on a leveraged basis. The Fund's investment objective is to generate current income and, as a secondary objective, long-term capital appreciation. Flat Rock Opportunity Fund is structured as an Interval Fund.

About the Chief Investment Officer:

Prior to joining Flat Rock, Mr. Bates was a Managing Director at Benefit Street Partners, where he worked on corporate acquisitions, following Benefit Street Partners' acquisition of BDCA Adviser. Mr. Bates was the Head of Structured Products at BDCA Adviser, where he was responsible for investments in CLOs and publicly traded business development companies ("BDCs") as well as structuring the firm's credit facilities.

Mr. Bates received a Master of Statistics from Columbia University, a Master of Financial Mathematics from the University of Chicago, a Master of Public Policy from Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government and a Bachelor of Science from Virginia Tech. He also served in the U.S. Army Reserves Special Operations Command as a specialist for six years.
