Keith Gehl Joins Gluck & Company as Head of Business Development and Strategy

Gluck & Company, a New York-based relationship-driven boutique tenant representation firm, announces that Keith Gehl has joined the firm as Head of Business Development and Strategy. Gehl, who prior to his retirement served as Senior Vice President Real Estate and Facilities of Family Dollar Stores, Inc., boasts more than 30 years of experience in real estate development, store operations and strategic planning for major retail brands and Fortune 500 companies.

In his new role at Gluck & Company, Gehl will offer strategic and advisory services to retailers looking to expand their footprint to the New York and Northeast markets. This will include store placement, market coverage and buildout strategies; operational planning; and risk mitigation strategies to optimize market investments. Leveraging his industry expertise and contacts, Gehl will work primarily on helping retailers and service providers operating in small- to mid-sized locations (20k SF and below) with a focus on specialty, discount and grocery retailers as well as food service and consumer service providers.

During his tenure at Family Dollar, Gehl was responsible for all aspects of the company's 8,000-store real estate portfolio. This comprised developing and executing a comprehensive real estate growth strategy that included the annual development and expansion of more than 600 stores and the evaluation and renegotiation of more than 1,200 leases. Previously, Gehl served as EVP of Real Estate and Business Strategy of Food Lion, Inc., where he worked for nearly 20 years and held several senior level positions.

Gehl graduated from Valparaiso University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He is also a CPA in North Carolina and a NACD Leadership Fellow. In addition to his position at Gluck & Company, Gehl serves on the boardsof Kewaunee Scientific Corporation and the Cabarrus Arts Council.
