JD Friedland has provided strategic guidance to companies and investors in the healthcare sector for more than twenty years, with particular sector expertise in medical devices and medical technology, in-vitro diagnostics and medical device contract manufacturing. JD joins Wombat Capital from England & Company, where he was a Managing Director in the Healthcare Group. JD was previously Vice President, Corporate Business Development at Henry Schein. Prior to that, he was a Founder of Match Point Partners, a boutique advisory firm. JD has a long history of investment banking and M&A advisory. He was the Head of North America Healthcare for Rothschild, and earlier in his career he held senior positions in the Healthcare Groups at Lazard Frères, Wasserstein Perella (later Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein) and Cowen & Company.

JD serves as an advisor to Pulse Equity Partners, a healthcare-focused private equity firm and as President of the Brotherhood of Community Synagogue of Port Washington.

JD received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
